Indiana Jones et le royaume du crâne de cristal (2008)

Edit

Storyline

During the Cold War, Soviet Agents watch Professor Henry « Indiana » Jones, Jr. (Harrison Ford), when a young man brings him a coded message from an aged, demented colleague, Professor Harold Oxley (Sir John Hurt). Led by the brilliant Irina Spalko (Cate Blanchett), the Soviets tail Jones and the young man, Mutt Williams (Shia LeBeouf), to Peru. With Oxley’s code, they find a legendary skull made of a single piece of quartz. If Jones can deliver the skull to its rightful place, all may be well. But if Irina takes it to its origin, she’ll gain powers that could endanger the West. Aging professor and young buck join forces with a woman from Jones’ past, Marion Ravenwood (Karen Allen), to face the dangers of the jungle, Russia, and the supernatural.

Did You Know?

Trivia

Jon Cryer revealed in 2020 that he had auditioned for the role of Marty McFly in Retour vers le futur (1985). The script he had read did not include the time machine being built into a car, and it ran not on plutonium but Coca-Cola. The climax of the film involved Marty sneaking onto a nuclear test site and shielding himself from the nuclear blast by hiding in a refrigerator. Not only was Steven Spielberg a producer on that film, but he met David Koepp through his relationship with director Robert Zemeckis. This is also not the first time Koepp has worked in a reference to Zemeckis on a Spielberg film. Koepp had written Zemeckis’s film La mort vous va si bien (1992), and Zemeckis was known to say « hold onto your butts » before a take, a line given to Samuel L. Jackson in Jurassic Park (1993).
